Biography
Diego Anido Seijas, better known as Diego As, is a Spanish muralist born in 1989 in Lugo, Galicia. A self-taught graffiti writer from his teenage years, he quickly developed a monumental style that combines classical sculpture, photo-realism and a misty grey-blue monochrome atmosphere.
His practice focuses on antique statues caught in the act of fracturing, contemporary mythological figures and historical portraits rendered at very large scale on apartment-block gable ends. His Julio César mural in Lugo (2021) was nominated for Best Mural of the World on Street Art Cities, and Rompe lo establecido in Linares-Baeza (2024) ranked 8th in the same competition.
He paints regularly in Lugo, Madrid, Málaga, Oviedo, Barcelona and at national festivals (Rampa Pro, Liga Nacional Graffiti). Supported by Caparol, Ibersa Pinturas and Estrella Galicia, he also publishes screenprints and collaborates with the fashion brand Aobá.
