Biography
Martin Ron is an Argentine artist born in 1981 in Caseros, in the western suburbs of Buenos Aires. A graduate in arts and culture from the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, where he later taught muralism, he started painting on the streets of Tres de Febrero in the mid-2000s before establishing himself as the most internationally exported Argentine muralist.
His hyper-realist style — human figures and animals painted with photographic precision, crossed with dreamlike or fantastical elements — relies on a grid technique that he sometimes leaves visible in the mural, and on saturated palettes that dialogue with the architecture of the support.
He has painted in some twenty countries — UK, Spain, United States, Australia, Turkey, Qatar, Russia, Belgium — and co-founded the Embellecimiento Urbano programme in Argentina. His Crepúsculo mural in San Nicolás de los Arroyos (2024) was nominated among the best murals in the world by Street Art Cities. He is regarded as one of the ten best muralists in the world.
