Fanakapan

Fanakapan is a self-taught British street artist from Weymouth, Dorset, based in London, and the pioneer of "Balloon-Graff" — a style in which he renders hyper-realistic 3D mylar balloon lettering and objects in spray paint, meticulously replicating the way light reflects off metallic surfaces. Before turning to street art around 2012, he worked as a prop maker for MTV, the BBC, and Nickelodeon, and as a sculptor alongside Anish Kapoor and the Chapman Brothers. His work spans Shoreditch and Brick Lane in London, as well as Berlin, Miami's Wynwood Walls, New York, Los Angeles, São Paulo, Japan, and Kazakhstan. Notable works include the "Up Yours" balloon mural on Heneage Street in London (2018) and the "Believe in Dog" Urban Nation One Wall mural in Berlin (2019).
