Biography
Giancarlo Ayasta Bernabe, known as Gian.ba1, is a Peruvian muralist and illustrator born in 1992 in Monsefú, in the Chiclayo region. Trained at the Trujillo School of Fine Arts, he has been painting since 2014 in a realist style deeply rooted in Peru's pre-Columbian heritage — huacos, myths, rituals, sacred plants and Amazonian wildlife. His murals combine indigenous portraits with ancestral symbols, aiming to preserve and pass on Andean cultural identity. He has painted across Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Germany, including at the Meeting of Styles festival.
