Biography
El Bocho is a German street artist originally from Frankfurt am Main who has lived in Berlin since 2006, after completing his graphic design studies. Active since 1997, he prepares his pieces in the studio on kraft paper and pastes them up at night across the city, mainly in the Mitte and Kreuzberg districts. His artist name — Spanish for "little donkey" — comes from a long stay in Spain. His signature series include Little Lucy (2003), a little girl inspired by a 1970s Czech cartoon, and The Citizen, pop-art portraits of young women often paired with reflections on urban life. His work now travels from Berlin streets to international galleries.
