Biography
Aistis Kavaliauskas, born in Vilnius in 1992, is a sculptor and contemporary artist who graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts. His practice involves exploring and accumulating materials from urban spaces, which he reinterprets through objects, paintings, photographs and video installations to assign new cultural meanings. He regularly collaborates with Jurgis Tarabilda on monumental murals, including "1/4 Freedom" at Vilnius Open Gallery (the former ELFA factory). He also took part in the Artagonist art hotel artistic project alongside other young Lithuanian artists.
