Biography
Eglė Narbutaitė is a Lithuanian multidisciplinary artist born in 1988 in Vilnius. After graduating from Kingston University in London in performance and media art, she developed a practice combining street art, illustration, scenography, and performance. Her minimalist line, populated by silhouetted characters in muted palettes, unfolds narratives marked by humour and self-irony on everyday absurdities and minor existential crises. Her work appears across Lithuania and abroad, notably at Vilnius's Open Gallery. She received the Audience Award at the 2017 Young Painter Prize and was named Audience Artist of Art Vilnius 2020; her pieces are held in the collection of the MO Museum.
