Biography

Dainis Rudens, known as Rudens Stencil, is one of Latvia's most renowned street artists. Based in Riga, he started with graffiti and letter art in the late 2000s before turning to stencils in 2007, completing his first large-scale piece "Milda" in Madona in 2008. His signature style mixes stencil work with freehand spray paint on monumental urban facades, often as part of a wider effort to revitalise neglected neighbourhoods. In 2014 he co-created "Saule. Pērkons. Daugava" with Kiwie - the largest mural in the Baltics (~800 m²) - and launched the "Atdod savu fasādi" (Give Your Facade) campaign to reshape Riga's urban space.
