DANJER

DANJER, real name Javier Sánchez, was born in Bata, Equatorial Guinea, and is based in Zaragoza, Spain. Working as an illustrator, tattoo artist and graffiti writer since the mid-1990s, he is known for caricatural characters with grey-toned skin and oversized expressive faces, offset by vivid colours in the hair, clothing and backgrounds. His murals are scattered across Zaragoza — from the Valdespartera district to Puerto Venecia, Calle Coso and Calle Estébanes — and he has also painted abroad at MAyo de las Culturas in Toulouse and CityLeaks 2013 in Cologne. He is a regular at the Asalto Festival, one of the oldest urban art festivals in Europe.
