Biography

Vesod - born Vesod Brero in 1981 in Turin, Italy - is an Italian street artist who graduated in mathematics before fully turning to painting. He inherits from his father, surrealist painter Dovilio Brero, a deep sensitivity to composition and dreamlike imagery. His visual language blends hyperrealist figuration and abstract geometry, openly drawing on Italian futurism and Renaissance painting.

Active on the international mural scene since the 2000s, the artist developed a distinctive grammar in which portraits, landscapes and geometric forms are layered into surrealist compositions. His murals, often traversed by gears, vortices or floating rings, question the perception of time and the cycle of things. Invited to the Street Art Fest Grenoble-Alpes in 2021, he painted "Sincronie", a monumental composition where birds and metallic rings circle a sharp rocky peak - a metaphor for the endless whirlwind and eternal recurrence.

Represented by Urban Nation in Berlin and Street Art For Mankind, Vesod has painted walls across Europe, the United States and Asia. Still based in Turin, where he runs his studio on via Silvio Pellico, he pursues a practice that anchors mural painting within the great Italian pictorial tradition while opening it to contemporary concerns. His Instagram account @vesod documents a body of work in constant expansion.
