Biography
OTIST is an anonymous stencil artist based in Grenoble, France, active for about a decade. His pseudonym references autism — a condition he uses as a metaphor for his outsider's view of the world. The son of a visual artist, he has painted in oils since childhood and chose stencil for its ability to convey messages quickly. His work tackles political, ecological, and social themes with irony and humor. Since 2020 he has taken part in every edition of the Street Art Fest Grenoble Alpes. In 2022 he co-founded the Puff Festival (Paste Up Festival France), an international paste-up event bringing together over 350 artists.
