Biography
Utopia, real name Oliveiros Rodrigues da Silva Junior and sometimes signing as Utopia63, is a Brazilian street artist based in Lisbon. Born in Brazil, he has developed a colorful and dreamlike visual universe populated by feminine figures with childlike features, small creatures and cosmic landscapes filled with planets and floating characters.
His work draws on childhood imagination and a surrealist vein to turn entire walls into poetic narratives. His tender palette — pastels and luminous gradients — contrasts with the narrative density of his compositions, where typography, symbolic motifs and secondary characters intertwine.
He has left his mark on Bairro Padre Cruz in Lisbon, as part of the large waves of murals that turned the neighborhood into an open-air gallery, as well as on Calçada do Carmo in Chiado and on Rua Antero de Quental. His motto is "Do what you love".
