Biography
Alexa Lincu is a visual artist born in 2000, living and working in Bucharest, Romania. She studies mural art at the National University of Arts in Bucharest and graduated from Gheorghe Lazăr National College. She also studied at the École Supérieure d'Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen in France.
Her practice spans illustration, collage, engraving, installation, easel painting and mural art, with a particular focus on the transformation of public space. Her works examine the experience of the individual placed within an urban environment, drawing inspiration from personal experiences rooted in current events or childhood memories. In 2024, she participated in Tirana's MurAL Fest with the piece "Creating Spaces," a vibrant composition of overlapping books encouraging passers-by to read.
