Biography
Leho, whose real name is Ho Yan-Lin (何彥霖), is a Taiwanese mural artist born in 1995 in Tainan. His pseudonym is derived from the Taiwanese word for 'hello', reflecting his intention to reach out to the residents of every city he visits. After graduating in visual arts, he developed a large-scale mural practice from 2017 onwards that quickly expanded to over twenty countries, from Italy and Japan to Cambodia and China.
His artistic signature centres on 'Luminimals' — imaginary animal creatures that serve as metaphors for human emotions and inner strength. Foxes, deer, wild geese and whales populate his monumental murals, executed with bold colours and fluid forms that oscillate between realism and dreamlike imagery. Leho regularly collaborates with the Taipei City Government, Taiwan's Ministry of Culture and various international street art festivals.
His studio is based in Tainan, where he continues to develop new projects while taking on commissions abroad. His murals can now be found in more than fourteen Taiwanese cities and in numerous capitals around the world.
