Biography
Kenor, born León Ka (also known as Kafre), was born in 1976 in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, near Barcelona. He began painting graffiti as a teenager in the 1990s and gradually established himself as one of the pioneers of geometric abstraction in European urban art. His work is grounded in the visual interpretation of electronic music — particularly Detroit techno — which he translates into vibrant compositions of lines, curves and bold colours.
A multidisciplinary artist, Kenor works across monumental murals, canvas, sculpture and installations. His frescoes can be found in cities across Europe and have been exhibited at prestigious institutions including the Caixaforum in Barcelona, the Grand Palais in Paris and the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Milan. In 2011 he completed the world's first mural installation inside a metro system in Kyiv. He has participated in the Outer Spaces festival in Poznań and the Graffuturism collective.
His practice explores the boundary between abstract painting and urban art, seeking to adapt his compositions to each surface and architectural context. Kenor is represented by Fousion Gallery in Barcelona, and his works are held in numerous private collections worldwide.
