Biography

Elina Holley is a Finnish multidisciplinary artist based in Helsinki, known for her vibrant mural paintings and dynamic compositions. Her practice blends illustration, graphic design, and public art in an aesthetic she describes as 'joyful elegance': captivating, hope-driven visuals designed to move communities and transform their relationship with public space.

Her mural commissions span several continents: Finland, Slovenia, Spain, Portugal, Jamaica, and Mongolia. She has exhibited at the LUX Helsinki Light Festival (600,000 annual visitors) and Helsinki Design Week, the largest design festival in the Nordic countries. In 2024, her illustrations were longlisted for the World Illustration Awards. Her clients include IBM, the European Union, Finland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and the City of Helsinki.

Her work addresses social and environmental themes: mental health, domestic violence, and climate resilience. In 2023, she co-created the EVOLVE mural with Superflinda on the Lovci building façade at Metelkova, Ljubljana, during the 30th anniversary edition of the Ljubljana Street Art Festival.
