Biography
Jakob der Bruder is a graffiti artist from Vienna, Austria. He began painting in 2016, inspired by the works he observed daily from train windows along the railway lines on his school commute. He quickly moved beyond traditional graffiti to develop a personal visual vocabulary combining classic letterforms, abstract shapes and figurative elements from everyday life.
His compositions stand out for their internal complexity: characters, faces and organic elements interweave with typographic structures, inviting the eye to discover new details with each viewing. Color palettes and line compositions are created spontaneously, influenced by the surroundings of each location.
Since 2016, Jakob der Bruder has established himself as a rising talent on the European street art scene. He has participated in major festivals including Calle Libre in Vienna (2024) and the Montana Store Birthday Jam in Frankfurt (2024), with works present in several European cities.
