Biography
NeSpoon is a Polish contemporary artist whose practice sits at the intersection of street art, painting, and traditional ceramics. Active in public spaces since 2009, she has developed an instantly recognizable visual language: large lace-patterned motifs painted in acrylic on city walls, combining geometric structures drawn from European craft heritage with bold, vibrant colors. Her work has been shown in over 100 cities across five continents, from Warsaw's streets to official spaces such as the European Parliament and Expo Dubai 2020.
Lace is the connecting thread of her entire practice: a material historically associated with women, collective creation, and intergenerational transmission, it becomes for NeSpoon a universal symbol of connection between cultures. The artist also works with ceramics that she installs directly into cracks in urban walls, creating a dialogue between fragility and permanence. In 2019, she was invited to the Lodhi Art District festival in Delhi to paint a mural inspired by lace patterns and Indian rangoli designs.
Her activist projects include works addressing water privatization in New Zealand, deforestation in Poland, and the architectural scars of World War II. Around 80% of her social media followers identify as women, reflecting the particular resonance of her work with a global female audience.
