Biography
Peter Stöcker, known by his artist name THECUT, was born in 1984 in Bremen, Germany. Introduced to hip-hop culture and graffiti at the age of ten during the 1990s, he went on to study media design in Berlin (graduating in 2009) before returning to his hometown to found the urban art agency Lucky Walls in 2011.
His artistic practice revolves around themes of inner transformation and personal development, expressed through compositions blending realism, abstraction and symbolism. His 'GROW' series — of which the third iteration (GROW V3) covers a 168 m² façade in Bremen's Überseestadt — embodies his core message: what we focus on grows. He has participated in international festivals such as Meeting of Styles (Smolensk, Copenhagen, Wiesbaden) and has created murals in Italy, Kosovo, Romania and several German cities.
In 2024, three of Peter Stöcker's works were acquired by the German Bundestag in Berlin. He is also the originator of the Hidden Treasure Festival in Bremen (editions 2021–2023), the world's first black-light street art festival.
