Biography
Harshvardhan Kadam, known by the pseudonym Inkbrushnme, is an Indian artist, designer, and educator born on August 31, 1984, in Wai, Maharashtra. The son of two pioneers of Indian comics, he grew up surrounded by drawing and visual storytelling before joining IDC School of Design in Mumbai, where he specialized in applied art and visual communication. In 2005, he founded his multidisciplinary studio Inkbrushnme, dedicated to monumental murals, illustration, and graphic novels.
His visual world is rooted in Indian mythology and spirituality, reinterpreted through a contemporary style influenced by Tantra. He is the author of India's largest mural — a 300-meter painting titled 'Songs of the City' at Yerawada Central Jail in Pune — and painted the clock tower at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. In 2012, he founded Pune's first street art festival.
His work now spans several countries. In Bangalore in 2016, he created a monumental three-storey mural for the St+art India Foundation on the facade of the Namma Metro's MG Road station, depicting children and fantastical creatures. He also teaches design and illustrates children's picture books.
