Biography
Aziza Andre' was born in Manhattan and raised in Queens, and she now works as a muralist, illustrator and comic-book artist based in Atlanta. The daughter of an illustrator who worked for Marvel Comics, she grew up immersed in narrative image-making before earning a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2018.
After graduation she founded Content Creators Hive, her East Point studio, where she runs portfolio-prep classes for students applying to SCAD, while also teaching art in Montessori and KIPP schools across the Atlanta area. In 2023 she transitioned into a full-time art practice and has since focused on mural commissions that blend traditional realism with a sequential-art vocabulary inherited from comics.
Her work stands out for its saturated, narrative portraits that restore overlooked figures of African-American history. In 2024 she painted 'Renascent' for Atlanta BeltLine Art, a tribute to Black cowboys of the South, after already leaving her mark on Krog Street Tunnel and other key walls of the city.
