Biography
Kouka Ntadi is a French-Congolese painter. He was born in Paris in 1981. The grandson of the expressionist painter Francis Gruber, he graduated from the School of Fine Arts in 2005. He is constantly confronted with his origins, both on canvas and in the street. He develops his research themes around the essence of man and identity, refusing different forms of portraiture.
His work is characterized by the expressiveness and spontaneity of the gesture. He deliberately allows imperfections and drips to appear. In order to get to the heart of the search for the status of the image, his painting plays with the codes of graffiti.
