Gomad

GOMAD, real name Marcus Debie, is a Dutch muralist born in 1972 in Sittard, in the southern Netherlands, where he lives and works. Active in graffiti since the early 1980s, he is regarded as one of the pioneers of the movement in his region and worked for years as a graphic designer before turning to murals full time. His style is a form of "post-neo graffitism": photorealistic imagery - eyes, faces, birds, flowers - fused with geometric, surrealist trompe-l'œil compositions, mostly in spray paint. Colourblind, he has painted walls around the world, from the Netherlands to Spain, the United States and Australia.
