Biography
Born in Seville and now based in Granada, MariaDie holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Granada and has been exhibiting since 2014. She first came across street art in skateparks, through hip-hop culture, and works as a tattoo artist alongside her murals.
Her realistic, brightly coloured paintings focus on strong women and take a feminist look at current events. She paints with spray cans only, building layers, blends and glazes. In 2021 alone she painted at Graum Fest in Granada, Womenpower Fest in Málaga and Meeting of Styles in Wiesbaden, and she has co-organised a Meeting of Styles in Spain with MOS Andalucía.
She was on the Art Aero Rap line-up in 2016 and 2017, a festival she credits with starting her network of fellow artists. She came back to paint there in 2024, and a piece shared with LilMel is listed in La Bañeza.
