Biography
Makinoteka is an alias active on the Spanish mural scene, with no real name on record. The work known so far comes mostly from La Bañeza, painted as a trio with Nem1977, a graffiti writer focused on lettering, and Mayl Shambala, who also works as a tattoo artist; the three describe themselves as lifelong friends. In 2021, at the ninth Art Aero Rap festival, the three painted "El Intento", a shared wall paired with a passage from Carlos Castaneda's conversations.
Next came "Keakua", documented in September 2022 on Calle Don Pedro el Oculista: a black hand holding an eye against a sun, with the motto "Ante ti infinitos caminos. No importa cual tomes, mientras lo tomes con conciencia" (endless paths lie before you, whichever you take, take it consciously). The trio appears together again on the line-up of the eleventh edition in 2023, and a piece captioned "Zorro de Makinoteka" is among the photos from Graffitea Xest 2024 in Cheste.
