Biography
A. Rodrigo is a painter who also describes himself as a geologist, working on walls as arodrigo49, the name he paints as a vertical signature. His murals draw on both backgrounds, moving through the elements that make up the world (fire, earth, air and water) and giving a large place to wildlife. In Barcelona he painted "El Origen" for the Arnau Gallery urban art programme on a side wall of Plaça Raquel Meller. The now vanished piece traced the story of Catalonia from the Big Bang to the rise of the Pyrenees and the volcanic past of the Garrotxa, with the bearded vulture as its central figure.
He has returned several times to La Bañeza, in León, during the Art Aero Rap festival. In 2019 he improvised "Hunter" there with Inesuka and Dinho Bento, a wall calling for the protection of ecosystems and the animals that live in them. In 2022 he painted "Resurgir" on Calle Ángel Riesco, two birds rising out of coloured smoke, dedicated to people who keep fighting every day and asking what gets us up each morning. Street Art Cities also credits him with a stork in the same town and with works in Garcibuey, in the province of Salamanca.
