Biography
Rizek is an Italian artist from Apulia who came to graffiti through skateboarding. In the early 1990s he was among the writers who built the Apulian graffiti scene, later taking his work across the rest of Italy and into Spain.
His walls deal with environmentalism, human rights, freedom of expression and antimilitarism, often with an ironic edge. He paints with spray and acrylics and mixes stencils, calligraphy, freehand lettering and optical effects. His pieces include "Pietà" and "Tempus Fugit" in Barletta and "The Donatrix", a Little Red Riding Hood painted for the Stramurales festival in Stornara.
In August 2023, at the eleventh Art Aero Rap festival in La Bañeza, he painted "Blow it", in which Greta Thunberg blows on the flames consuming the planet.
