Biography
Jabi Corte is a muralist from Pamplona who has been painting graffiti since the early 2000s. Trained between Vitoria and Göttingen, he spent five years in Germany, where mural painting became his profession. He describes his practice as a crossover of graphic design, graffiti and fine art, and also works in oil, watercolour and pencil in the studio.
In 2004 he started the Cantamañanas festival in Pamplona, a meet-up of graffiti friends that grew into the longest-running graffiti festival in Spain, now past twenty editions. In 2011 he co-founded Deltadec, a studio focused on visual identity and mural decoration, and he advises other festivals in Navarre and Germany.
His walls can be found in Spain, Germany and several other European countries, from Rheinberg to Bremen. In La Bañeza he painted "Home Family" with Jon Zabalegui, as well as "Our first date".
