Biography
SEA162 is a graffiti writer and muralist from the Madrid region, closely tied to Collado Villalba, north of the capital. He started writing graffiti in the 1990s before moving toward large-scale murals, and took part in Spain's Liga Nacional de Graffiti between 2021 and 2024.
His recent work happens outdoors: animals and plants painted on quarry faces, boulders and water tanks with mineral pigments he collects himself across Spain, including the Canary Islands. He uses the natural relief of the stone to build volume, under project names such as Neo Rupestre and Entre Tierras.
His newt mural "El Tritón Miguelón", painted in 2023 on an irrigation pond in Garcibuey (Salamanca), was named Street Art Cities' best mural in the world for April 2023. The Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales in Madrid showed his 90-metre piece "Evolución". In La Bañeza, his wall "Toma castaña" follows the chestnut tree through every stage, from blossom to ripe fruit.
