Biography
A painter and muralist from Buenos Aires, Guido Palmadessa now lives in Berlin. He grew up with the street art generation and also has academic training, and his work ranges from oil on linen and drawing to large public art projects.
His walls combine portraits rooted in social reality with a symbolic language, centred on the human condition. He has painted for public art projects in Europe and the Americas, from Kosovo to Chile, and runs an art project in deprived neighbourhoods of South America. In Palermo, Almurezo shows a couple sitting at a table on the back wall of the Santa Agnese church in the Danisinni district; in Wuppertal, Between Chaos and Care grew out of conversations with the city's food bank. In August 2019 he painted Territorios in La Bañeza for the Art Aero Rap festival.
