Biography

From Caserta, in Campania, Bifido pastes large prints of his own photographs onto walls, often portraits of children. Over time he has merged these paste-ups into painting, so that image and wall tell a single story. His subjects include war, violence, consumerism and childhood, and he says little about his own life.

His projects have taken him to Berlin, Budapest, Marseille and Mostar. In 2020 he spent a month in Stigliano, in Basilicata, for the Appartengo festival, painting four walls about the town's residents and its depopulation, among them a piece on the sisters Giulia and Filomena.

During the 2021 Art Aero Rap, billed as the Vaccine Edition, he created Your Eyes... They Turn Me on the rear facade of La Bañeza town hall: a couple embracing, conceived as a hug after the hardest months of the pandemic. Street Art Cities selected it among the hundred best murals of that year.
