Biography
Born in Paris to Colombian parents, Chicadania grew up in Bogotá. She studied fine arts at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and then at the University of Barcelona, graduating in 2007, and spent most of her career working as a sculptor.
She moved to large-scale painting in 2017, when she was invited to the first Graffiti Festival District in Bogotá. Her first walls portrayed her sons, Ian and Marc, whom she made up before painting them, and her murals also explore friendship between women. She often paints alongside the artist El Pez, in Colombia, Russia and Amsterdam, where the Street Art Museum invited them both.
In 2022 Art Aero Rap brought her to La Bañeza for a week, during which she painted a portrait with carnival face paint, a nod to the town's carnival. She has since painted at Ultra Festival in Miami in 2023 and for Big Walls Big Dreams in Houston in 2024.
