Biography
Born in 1978 in Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, Asier Vera grew up in Madrid. As a child he watched writers such as Suso33 at work, and he started painting graffiti himself at around 18. After training in digital design, he spent several years working for advertising agencies and audiovisual studios in Madrid.
In 2014 he moved to Ponferrada, in the Bierzo region, where he has painted some twenty walls: a New York taxi on Calle San Fructuoso, a scene from E.T., murals against racism and gender violence, and commissions for schools and local associations. His work often uses a glitch effect, a deliberately corrupted image he picked up while checking video tapes for broadcast errors.
With Müs he forms the duo Chisme Criu, whose mural Coexist with nature in La Robla was listed among Street Art Cities' hundred best walls of 2022. He has taken part in several editions of Art Aero Rap in La Bañeza, where his walls include Despierta (2017) and Justitia caecus non est.
