Biography
Born in Lima, Peru, Bronik lives in Barcelona and has painted in the street since the late 2000s. Self-taught, she left her job as a waitress around 2017 to focus on murals and festivals, and she always asks permission before painting a wall. Her work can be found in Barcelona's Gràcia, Raval and Born districts, and in Lima, Medellín, Los Angeles, Lisbon, London and Venice.
Her figures started out sexless and have become mostly nude women, painted turquoise and often given four eyes. She presents them as a tribute to the female body, to roots and to the Pachamama, the turquoise standing for the idea that skin colour does not matter. In La Bañeza she painted Noche estrellada in 2018, a figure living in harmony with nature and animals.
