Biography
Artes, also known as Artes Prada, is a muralist from La Bañeza in the province of León. He studied graphic design and has painted murals professionally since the age of eighteen. His name comes from a Spanish rapper he listened to when he started out signing as Arts. He works in a realistic, portrait-based style.
He is one of the driving forces of the scene in his home town, where he helped launch the Art Aero Rap festival. There he painted Nos quitaron hasta el miedo in 2016, a large portrait with the line "they took so much from us that they even took our fear", and in 2018 BRIF en lucha, a tribute to forest firefighters.
In 2017 he and El Rojo painted a portrait of motorcycle champion Ángel Nieto, sixteen metres high and eight wide, completed in two days and two nights.
