Biography
Born in Buenos Aires, Alan Myers works mostly outdoors on large walls, from Latin America to Europe. His painting is realistic and figurative, built around portraits and dynamic compositions in bright, strong colours, and he describes his subject as people's fragility and vulnerability along with their desires and longings. He has taken part in Festival Concreto in Fortaleza, Brazil, and spent a period based in Berlin.
Two of his murals in La Bañeza, documented in 2022, share the motif of the eye and the gaze. He says he keeps his concepts open so that viewers can build their own story. Elsewhere in Spain he painted a mural in Geldo (Castellón) with Flo Sylva, showing a golden eagle held by a classical statue. In Munich, the Kunstlabor 2 space showed a work compiling images from a 66-day trip through six European cities.
