Biography
Matt Zerfa draws on nature to produce work that borders on abstraction. An heir to the lettering of his early years, he has kept a taste for precise lines and sharp shapes.
With an approach that is both compulsive and meditative, he multiplies strokes to build textures that evoke natural forms. His style echoes impressionism, translating the memory of a landscape or a moment of life into painted emotion.
He intends each piece as a universal language and a tribute to nature. In 2024 he painted a house gable on Rue Jean Mermoz in Caen for the Palma festival.
