Biography
Jiem & Mary is a duo brought together by free, wild graffiti: Mary Limonade, a Belgian artist from Liège, and Jiem, who was born in Nantes.
Alongside extensive illustration work in drawing and painting, they practise film photography, publishing and textile art. Whatever the medium, certain themes keep coming back: travel, the city and its graphic details, collective identities, underground cultures, social interaction, love and romance.
Passionate about naive art and popular painting, they work together in an instinctive, spontaneous way. In 2024 they painted a facade in Mondeville, near Caen, for the Palma festival.
