Biography
Germain Ipin works at the crossroads of urban art and contemporary art. His projects take a graphic, playful look at the world around him.
His pieces are inseparable from their sites, through both their form and the story they capture, and they speak about the city and the place of people within it. He favours salvaged materials and likes to involve residents in his work.
For the 2023 Palma festival he asked the public to bring in their leftover tins of paint to create a mural on a warehouse in Mondeville, near Caen, with every colour coming from those donations.
