Biography
Damien Poulain lives in Paris and works all over the world. His practice draws as much on architecture as on tribal symbols to build a simple visual language.
By arranging elementary geometric shapes, he creates graphic compositions in which form and colour stand out in minimal, harmonious palettes. Whether working at monumental scale or on small paintings, he aims to bring people together around a universal message of love and possibility.
He has exhibited in London, Tokyo, Breda and Paris. During a 2021 residency for the Palma festival he painted a school playground in Mondeville and an entire house in Caen.
