Camille Gendron

Camille Gendron examines the use of the spray can from both a theoretical and a practical angle. She is interested in the relationship between tool and gesture, and in the spraying process itself.

Distance, direction, pressure and time are all parameters she works with. She plays with them to produce highly dynamic organic paintings with a pared-down palette that leaves room for the energy of the sprayed paint.

Vaporous textures settle into simple shapes and draw stormy skies stretching across the walls she takes on. In 2022 she painted a gable in the Vaucelles district of Caen for the Palma festival.
