Biography
Aphe & Noah is the duo formed by Aphe (Sven Oliver Hollatz) and Noah Kauertz. The two met while studying art at Alanus University in Alfter, near Bonn, and began working together in 2019.
A shared graffiti background and a preference for art in public space led them that year to paint a first facade in Dortmund, followed by several more walls and a joint exhibition, P A R A L L E L, in March 2020. Their painting moves between figuration and abstraction with an atmospheric palette, and its subject grows out of the wall's immediate surroundings, the people who live there and their everyday setting.
The pair painted in Tbilisi in 2020 and again in 2021 as part of Tbilisi Mural Fest.
