Biography
Kera is the artist name of Christian Hinz, born in Berlin in 1985. He started writing graffiti at the age of 14, and lettering gradually led him towards mural painting and visual art.
In 2010 he completed a graphic design apprenticeship and first worked in a corporate setting. That design background shapes his style: geometric, abstract compositions built on line, structure and surface, often crossed by traces of analogue printing techniques. Working freelance since 2012, he also teaches at the Jugendkunstschule in Berlin-Steglitz.
His facades and art-in-architecture projects can be found across Europe as well as in Qatar, Mexico and the United Kingdom. In 2019 he took part in the first edition of Tbilisi Mural Fest in Georgia.
