Biography
Jordan Harang was born in 1983 in Orléans, where he grew up and completed a baccalaureate in applied arts. He went on to a BTS in product design in Nevers, then a bachelor's and a master's in the same field in Birmingham, in the United Kingdom. For many years he worked under the name Russ.
A painter, draughtsman and muralist, he uses acrylic, Indian ink, paint markers and graphite. His work leans towards the surreal, dealing with the passage of time on matter and drawing on cosmology, quantum physics and biology to question how we perceive space and where humans stand in the universe.
He has painted large murals across France and Europe, from Waterford Walls in Ireland (2019 and 2021) to Prim'Art Festival in Geneva (2018) and Empty Walls Festival in Cardiff (2014). A member of the Street Art Rebellion collective since 2020, he is represented by GCA Gallery, which staged his exhibition "Terra Nullius".
