Biography

Born in 1986 in the south of France, Maddam grew up influenced by rap and urban art culture. Based in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in the Vaucluse, she points to Mondrian's clean lines and Keith Haring's visual world as references.

Her work combines black and white lines, curves and figures hidden in swirls, punctuated by primary colours. Her recurring emblem, the "strong heart", stands for vital energy, human connection and the nerve to be oneself. She moves between murals, canvases and live painting, working on city walls as well as in hospitals, residences and festivals.

Several of her walls can be seen around L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, including in the hospital gardens and at the tourist office. She has painted live alongside author Virginie Despentes at the Lire sur la Sorgue festival, created a five-senses installation at the Artemisia museum in Forcalquier and self-published a book covering five years of work. In 2025 she painted a 51-metre-long mural in Flumet for the Val d'Arly Street Art Festival.
