Biography
Gaspard Mariotte is a mural painter from Lyon. After three years of training at the Ecohl Cité school, he graduated as a muralist.
His graphic world grows out of everyday observation, especially architecture and the men and women around him. Cinema and its cinematography also provide starting points for his work. He enjoys switching media, materials and formats, from sketch to wall, from watercolour to spray paint.
A multidisciplinary artist, he composes figurative works that reflect his influences and desires, art as a mirror of daily life. In 2025 he painted a 160 m² mural in Rillieux-la-Pape with residents of several generations, bringing back the former Loup Pendu racecourse from archive photographs.
