Biography
Spirale is a Lyon visual artist influenced by urban culture and the skateboarding scene of the 1990s and 2000s. After studying graphic design and working for several years, he returned to his love of street art and filled the streets of Lyon with his unusual characters.
He now moves between street art, canvas and unsanctioned painting, working with both paste-ups and graffiti. His detailed, colourful work draws on everyday observations turned into drawings: he starts from an idea and builds it up with small scenes.
In his organic world, elements are often linked by cables, standing for the ties between people and the hyper-connectivity of our time. He paints in acrylic on walls, canvases, customised spray cans and skateboards.
