Biography
Boun.Ka is a Lyon artist who has been passionate about street art for several years. The urge to take over the street grew gradually, and the first lockdown acted as a trigger: public space became his field of expression and the name Boun.Ka was born.
His practice takes two forms. The first, in the studio, explores relief, texture and deconstruction, combining wood, metal, cardboard and leftover paint. The second goes through street art, as a way to engage with urban space and make it his own, reflecting his commitment.
Celebrating creativity as a mirror of personality is one of his favourite subjects. Paste-ups, which he uses a lot, speak of the ephemeral and the marks left by time, while mural painting is taking a growing place in his work.
