Biography
Florina Aledo Perez, who signs as Florina, is a French artist born in 1987 and originally from Romania. She came to drawing by chance at 15 and organised her first exhibitions of oil and palette-knife paintings at 16.
She kept painting during her studies while gradually specialising in graphic art, communication and then video. Wanting to reconnect with painting, she went on to build a body of work around themes close to her heart: women, freedom, the colour of feelings and the figure of Frida Kahlo.
Her line leans towards minimalism: working from thousands of sketches, she seeks to capture the pose and face of her female portraits in a few strokes. In 2023 she painted the Maison de la Famille et de la Parentalité in Rillieux-la-Pape with local residents.
