Grip Uno

Grip Uno, who also signs as Gripuno, is a Lyon muralist whose work draws on photography, both digital and film. He starts from snapshots that he transfers onto walls in acrylic, using rollers, poles and brushes.

Recurring themes run through his murals: football, sports shirts, plants and the idea of memory. This union of photography and painting offers a poetic glimpse of reality, focused on capturing fleeting moments and fixing them in the street.

In 2023 he painted a participatory mural in Rillieux-la-Pape with young people from the Renoir neighbourhood, where Olympique Lyonnais shirts from different eras sit alongside olive branches recalling the residents' summers.
